*Sri Sarbananda Sonowal is a leading political and social worker from Assam. A responsible & dutiful MLA and MP with law and journalism qualifications, he was recognised as "Shreshtha Axomia" (2007) and "Best Politician of Assam" (2005) by the Media. An active student leader, he had been President of the All Assam Students' Union; and Chairman of the North East Students Organisation - an umbrella student organisation of all the seven states of North East.
